Welcome to CoastNav. These Terms of Service ("Terms," "Agreement") are a
legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," "your") and Vinh Nguyen
("Developer," "we," "us," "our"), the individual developer of the CoastNav iOS application
(the "App," "Service").
CoastNav is an offline-first maritime navigation application that provides global coastline

🚨 NAVIGATION SAFETY WARNING: CoastNav is provided as a supplementary
reference tool only. It must NOT be used as your sole or primary means of
navigation. Always carry official nautical charts, follow maritime regulations, maintain
proper watch, and use certified navigation equipment. The Developer is not responsible for
any navigation decisions made using this App.
These Terms incorporate by reference our
Privacy Policy,
which forms part of this Agreement. They also operate alongside and are supplemented by
Apple's standard
Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA).
In the event of a conflict between these Terms and Apple's standard EULA, Apple's EULA
shall prevail.

7.1 Map Data Accuracy
The coastline data provided in CoastNav is derived from OpenStreetMap contributions
(data dated approximately August 2025). By its nature as a crowdsourced dataset, this data:

national hydrographic service. Do not use it as a substitute for ECDIS charts, paper charts,
or other certified navigational aids.

The Developer will endeavor to provide updated map tile datasets periodically, but does not
guarantee any specific update frequency or schedule. You are responsible for downloading
updated datasets when available. Older datasets may become increasingly inaccurate over time.
7.3 Availability of Download Server
The tile download server at tiles.kidneydietfood.com is provided on a
best-effort basis. The Developer does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the
download service and is not responsible for any losses arising from server downtime or
unavailability. The core offline functionality of the App is not affected by server
availability once data is downloaded.
7.4 User-Generated Content
The App does not currently support user-generated content, community contributions, or
social features. All data within the App is either Developer-provided or sourced from
OpenStreetMap.
⚠️ THIS SECTION CONTAINS IMPORTANT LEGAL DISCLAIMERS. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.
8.1 "As Is" Disclaimer
THE APP AND ALL CONTENT, DATA, FEATURES, AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN

In particular, users in Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and the EU may
have statutory rights that cannot be excluded. Nothing in these Terms limits such rights.
8.5 Third-Party Services
The App processes in-app purchases through Apple's StoreKit service. The Developer is not
responsible for any failures, errors, or disputes arising from Apple's payment processing
or App Store services.

- LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, BUSINESS, OR GOODWILL;
- PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE, OF ANY NATURE WHATSOEVER;

WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL
THEORY, EVEN IF THE DEVELOPER HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
THE DEVELOPER'S TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED
TO THESE TERMS OR THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (a) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO
THE DEVELOPER FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (b) USD $10.00.
9.2 Jurisdictions with Non-Excludable Liability
Certain jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for personal
injury, gross negligence, willful misconduct, or consumer protection violations. In such
jurisdictions, the limitations above apply only to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud caused by
the Developer's negligence.

device. Your Premium purchase status is determined by your Apple ID and is governed by
Apple's policies.
11.4 Discontinuation of Service
The Developer may discontinue the App or any part of it (including the download server)
at any time with reasonable notice where practicable. In the event of App discontinuation,
